MINNEAPOLIS, September 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Goodness Growth Holdings, Inc. (“Goodness Growth” or the “Company”) (CSE: GDNS; OTCQX: GDNSF), a doctor-run, science-led cannabis company and IP incubator, announced today that it is hosts a free cannabis removal clinic on Saturday September 11th in his cannabis patient center Green Goods® in Minneapolis. The event will be the first cannabis extermination clinic to be held in Minnesota.

Green Goods Minneapolis will host the cannabis removal clinic with the assistance of attorneys, law professors, and law students from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and other local attorneys offering pro bono work. The clinic is a free event designed to help Minnesotans clear their criminal records with simple, non-violent cannabis convictions.

The event aims to reduce the damage caused by the ineffective and often racially biased “War on Drugs” and to help more Minnesotans, but especially people of color, find meaningful employment in the cannabis industry or other industries to qualify. In Minnesota In the 20 years from 1998 to 2018 alone, more than 53,000 citizens were convicted of minor (offense or minor) cannabis charges. Minor cannabis convictions and convictions can still show up on a criminal background check and negatively impact a person’s ability to get a job, get a loan, or even rent a house.

“For decades, the cannabis ban has been unequally enforced among people of different races and socio-economic classes,” said Dr. Kyle Kingsley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Goodness Growth Holdings. “With cannabis legalized in more and more states across the country, there are far too many people whose lives are still being affected by something that has been decriminalized in most states, including Minnesota. Establishing extermination clinics like this one to help people resolve simple cannabis charges is a major priority for our organization and an important step in overcoming the injustices of the cannabis ban. “

Minnesotas Laws allow the repeal and repeal of some non-violent, simple cannabis convictions in a multi-step process. At the Green Goods® deletion event, lawyers are available to meet with interested individuals, review their specific cases and determine if they are a candidate for deletion within. are Minnesota Law. If so, attorneys will provide step-by-step instructions and assistance in collecting the required records and submitting any documents necessary to begin the deletion process.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT at the Minneapolis Green Goods® Cannabis Patient Center at 207 South 9th Street. All participants in the elimination clinic must bring their case information and court files with them on the day of the event.
