Saturday will be a big day for Georgia’s medical marijuana program. The Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission announced on Wednesday that it will hold a public meeting in Walker County on Saturday to announce which applicants will be licensed to grow marijuana in Georgia, convert leaf harvest to cannabis oil, and that Sell the final product to eligible patients. According to a law passed by the General Assembly two years ago, the Commission will grant private companies up to six licenses to grow marijuana in greenhouses under strict government supervision.
